Unpublished photographs of The Beatles at work in a recording studio at the height of their fame are to be revealed in a new book.
The candid shots include an image showing John Lennon and Paul MCCartney working on a song as Ringo Starr looks on, and another shows the band's producer George Martin discussing the arrangement of a track with George Harrison and a bespectacled Lennon.
The pictures were shot at London's Abbey Road studios, where The Beatles recorded the bulk of their output, in February, 1969. They will be published in new book Abbey Road: The Best Studio In The World later this month (Jul12).
