STELLA: LINDA INSPIRED HER WORK

At birth, designer Stella McCartney inherited her father’s famous last name and her mother’s big blue eyes.

The soft-spoken Beatle daughter also absorbed lessons in style from Sir Paul and Linda McCartney that still inspire her today.

 

“The suits that those guys wore had a big impact on me,” said McCartney, prior to a party in her honor Thursday night at Saks Fifth Avenue in Boca Raton. “I used to rifle through all of his Savile Row suits when I was a kid and look at the fit and the texture. And I think just to have that kind of uniform — that kind of incredible, strong, iconic look — was pretty impressive.”
